About The Founder

Following his early career with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Nilesh “Neil” Lakhlani founded Geotech Environmental Services Inc in 1993 out of a lifelong passion for the environment the planet and the challenges business owners face.

Unlike most concerned citizens however, Neil had the knowledge and organizational skill set to make his passion a significant resource for Southeastern Florida facility and commercial property owners.

Mr.Lakhlani’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s & Master’s degree in Geology, Advanced level courses with the University of Oxford, Wellington Square, Oxford UK.

Neil’s business acumen was accrued at Dartmouth College’s Tuck School of Business.

Because facilities are a complex amalgamation of business, life, production, waste and human behavior a number of licensed skills are needed to understand and remediate them. Neil accumulated the necessary licensing in Florida to accompany his engineering and business degrees. The licensing included:

  • General Contracting
  • Pollutant Storage Systems Contractor license
  • Commercial Real Estate Broker

Finally Geotech was certified by the US Small Business Administration 8(a) as a Certified Minority Business Enterprise in order to provide high quality environmental engineering services to the Federal Government and U.S. Military facilities throughout the United States.

The commercial real estate arena is not a one size fits all world. Scholastic excellence, professional certification and experience in business best practices are involved. That includes Market Analysis, Marketing, Government Red Tape documentation skill, creative financing, buyer/seller management and learned strategies covering environmental, regulatory and liability risk management.

Neil has developed his passion for the environment into a success for his clients, vendors, facilities, neighborhoods, workers and families around the more than 4,600 environmental actions he has cared for over these nearly three decades of care

Federal: Tyndall AFB, the Department of the Interior, Department of Veterans Affairs.

State and Region: Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Miami Dade County DERM, Broward County Department of Environmental Protection, the cities of Hialeah, Lauderhill, Pompano Beach

GeoTech President and Broker

Here are what some of my clients saying about me..

Neil helped me with the cleanup of my gas station, resolved all regulatory problems, and helped me with selling and financing so that I can invest in a passive income in North Florida. After 23 years, he is near my side as a friend when I am suffering with Parkinson’s.

I was contemplating upgrading my gas station fuel tank system with GeoTech. Neil removed the tanks, cleaned up the site in less than 11 months, obtained a regulatory approval for a No Further Action, negotiated the sale with a prominent bank, and helped me suit the original seller (Exxon) to collect all my money back. Because of his help, I am pleased to say that my wife and I are living a retired life and enjoying playing golf every day in Ocala, Florida. He is truly my Guru extraordinaire.

Neil helped me find a large commercial warehouse property and negotiated a sweet deal with a Bank. The site had minor environmental contamination, however, with his creative strategy, I have spent very little money in cleanup costs and made substantial income with the business, while at the same time seen significant appreciation on this property. Neil, helped me find my way in real estate

I purchased a bank foreclosed shopping center in a busy area that had solvent contamination but had great potential for income.  Neil guided me through all the environmental issues, regulatory negotiations, creatively brokered the deal with the Bank who in turn also lent me funds to purchase it. He has helped me rethink my entire business model as an investor, I highly recommend him to all investors. It would not have happened without him.
