Analyitical Services

New scientific knowledge has increased the awareness of facility managers, workers, and industrial hygienists about the potential of indoor air quality problems.

The EPA has estimated that there are over 700,000 U.S. buildings that contain damaged or deteriorating asbestos containing material (ACM). Building owners are increasingly aware of asbestos problems. They are finding that they can no longer renovate or demolish their buildings without complying with a growing number of complex regulations.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency have both addressed lead issues by adopting regulations that are more stringent.

Our services enable our clients to make informed project decisions that positively affect their budget, schedule and project outcomes.

Indoor Environmental Air Quality

A new area of concern in the 1990s has been labeled "sick building syndrome," which results from a variety of indoor pollution sources, such as volatile organic compounds and mold and other microorganisms. While OSHA and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency have not promulgated regulations addressing indoor air, guidelines for acceptable concentrations of airborne contaminants have been identified by various organizations in which we actively participate, including the American Society for Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-Conditioning Engineers and the American Industrial Hygiene Association. Some of the indoor air quality services we provide include:

  • Indoor air quality investigation
  • Ventilation system design
  • Chemical contaminant evaluation
  • Complaint/incident Investigations
  • Mold Investigation, remediation, decontamination plans and oversight
  • Odor evaluations
  • Remodeling and new construction design and specification
