Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA)
GeoTech provides Phase I ESAs for single-site and multi-state mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. GeoTech has performed hundreds of Phase I ESAs for privately owned companies, lenders, and a multitude of municipal and federal government entities. GeoTech effectively utilizes all of its resources in order to obtain an extensive and detailed records history from government databases for each client. All assessments are performed in accordance with the most current ASTM standards, and recognized environmental standards by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Subpart A SOP 50-10(4)(B). For the past twenty years, GeoTech has ensured that each Phase I ESA is done efficiently, accurately, and in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Phase II Environmental Site Assessment (ESA)
If a Phase I ESA concludes that an environmental problem may exist, our services are retained to implement a Phase II investigation to confirm the presence of an environmental problem and to help determine its scope. GeoTech has extensive experience performing innumerable Phase II Site Assessments relating to various contaminant types and media. GeoTech's highly trained environmental engineers and geologists are proficient in conducting subsurface investigations, collecting samples, and performing speedy analysis, so that the client's problems can be solved quickly and cost effectively. A Phase II investigation typically includes:
1.) Sampling of air, soil, and groundwater.
2.) Chemical analysis of the media.
3.) Evaluation and reporting of the data.
Phase III Remediation
Less than 10% of ESA sites require a Remedial Action Plan. However, in the rare case of a site proceeding through to a Phase III, our engineering group provides specialized environmental remediation services, including: designing, constructing, operating and maintaining practical site remediation programs to meet regulations. GeoTech has successfully remediated over 150 sites relating to a variety of contaminants including, but not limited to: petroleum contamination, solvents, metals, and other hazardous compounds. Successful site remediation is achieved through pragmatic thinking, utilizing a cost effective approach, while meeting regulatory compliance for our customers.
