Environmental Professional

GeoTech is seeking all levels of Environmental Professionals with 1-3 years experience in Environmental engineering services such as environmental assessments, industrial hygiene, indoor air quality, site remediation, permitting, project management, etc. Must have the following required certifications: 40 Hour HAZWOPER. A degree is not required. However, he/she must have the ability to conduct and develop innovative approaches in assessing environmental problems, and present the results both verbally and in written form. The ability to complete complex work assignments under a variety of demanding situations is required. Technical familiarity with Florida's unique characteristics a must. The position is located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The salary range based on experience is between $28K-$35K. Temp-to-Perm.

Environmental Scientists

GeoTech is looking for several candidates to fill professional positions as mid to senior level environmental scientists (botanists, ecologist, biologists, (environmental/urban) planners, etc.) Successful candidates should meet the following requirements:
A B.Sc. in Biology, ecology, environmental engineering, environmental chemistry or related field.

5+ years of consulting experience in aquatic terrestrial ecosystem assessment, risk assessment, permitting, and/or contaminated sediment evaluations.

The ability to conduct and develop innovative approaches in assessing environmental problems, and present the results both verbally and in written form. The ability to complete complex work assignments under a variety of demanding situations.

Knowledge of NEPA and CEQA. Technical familiarity with Florida's unique characteristics a must.

Staff-level Geologist/
Engineer

You will gain experience with site investigations, project management, report preparation, health and safety plans, work plans and cost proposals. Successful candidates must have the following: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering, Geology or other physical sciences, plus 2 years of experience in the consulting industry. Strong writing and verbal communication skills, computer skills in Microsoft Office, Access/Excel are beneficial. CERCLA/RCRA/DOD environmental experience is a plus. The salary range based on experience is between $24K-$30K.

Laboratory Manager

GeoTech is searching for an exceptional Laboratory Manager who welcomes challenges, and is ready to develop “GeoLab” -our most recent venture into environmental analytical testing services. Must possess minimum of 5 years experience in conducting standard services such as organic analyses using a variety of GC, GC/MS and HPLC test methods and inorganic analyses using a variety of ICP, Trace ICP, ICP/MS, Cold Vapor AA and Graphite Furnace AA Methods. GeoLab also will pursue a full range of wet chemistry analyses for nutrients, BOD, COD.GeoLab will offer company profit sharing and competitive financial packages that include health and lifestyle benefits, as well as paid holidays and vacations.

Scope of work:

The interns will work under the supervision of senior scientists and will have the opportunity to take on tasks commensurate with their background and abilities. The interns will gain valuable work experience while contributing to a scientific development project and learning about applied geophysics. Qualifications include enrollment in an undergraduate computer science, engineering, or science curriculum, and programming experience. Some of the skills we look for in a successful candidate include communications and good writing skills. Course work in science and computing is essential, and knowledge of envirnmental science is a plus. The student must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at a U.S. educational institution.
