Analytical Services

GeoTech has provided environmental testing services to thousands of clients across the United States for over a decade. In late 2003, GeoTech will launch our most recent venture into environmental analytical testing services, “GeoLab”.

At GeoLab, our goal is simple… to ensure that it operates with the highest standards of professionalism in the industry by providing scientifically sound, well documented, and regulatory compliant data. Currently, Geolab is in the process of applying for NELAC accreditation and expects to receive it in January 2004. We are currently analyzing Proficiency Test (PT) samples as required for accreditation and as outlined in the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Conference (NELAC). GeoLab will also obtain the EPA Contract Laboratory Protocol (CLP) Performance Evaluation program and the Army Corps of Engineers Laboratory Assessment program.

Services

GeoLab offers extensive capacity for organic and inorganic analysis as well as a broad range of specialty services, which allow us to meet the environmental analytical needs of our clients. In addition, our investments in consistency and standardization provide us with the ability to maximize the capabilities and capacity of all the laboratories, providing extra assurance that client turn-around times are met. GeoLab provides services through an integrated system of modern, fully equipped laboratories that can analyze a variety of sample matrices ranging from air and water, to hazardous wastes.

Our standard services include organic analyses using a variety of GC, GC/MS and HPLC test methods and inorganic analyses using a variety of ICP, Trace ICP, ICP/MS, Cold Vapor AA and Graphite Furnace AA Methods. GeoLab will provide a full range of wet chemistry analyses for nutrients, BOD, COD and virtually all other general chemistry parameters. In addition to routine analyses, GeoLab has the capability to provide custom testing services on-site mobile laboratory services, aquatic toxicity, air testing, and dioxin/furans.

Environmental Sampling

Our field team is experienced with sampling programs at impacted sites, operating and maintaining groundwater and vadose zone monitoring systems, conducting geophysical and soil gas monitoring investigations, performing aquifer tests, and analyzing groundwater quality data. We employ state-of-the-art automatic sampling equipment, as appropriate, to collect samples as conditions dictate. GeoTech’s personnel are trained to perform sampling that adheres to strict regulatory-accepted quality control procedures. Proper chain-of-custody documentation accompanies collected samples.
